BROWN STRIKES AGAIN!

HATVEIT GETS SECOND AND WINS THE DEW CUP 2009/10 3_06-02-10-ss-final-asset

“I’m pretty pumped, I don’t know how I’m doing this. I guess I’m just lucky.” From who do you think this quote comes from? Yes, Bobby Brown! The 19 year old guy from Breckenridge is in the form of his life at the moment. He also won the last Dew Tour slopestyle competition in Mt. Snow yesterday with an impressing performance again! But on the podium of the total ranking he could not displace Andreas Hatveit who reached one first place and two second places at this years tour. So he is definitely a worth winner of the Dew Cup!

But now back again to yesterdays finals: Bobby started his run with a a 450 disaster, to 450 off the next to switch right misty 900 to 630 off the canon box to 270-270 on the down bar to switch misty 900 to double cork 1260. Stomped, styled and steezed, there is not much to say more about this run!

Håtveit dropped a switch 450 on to 450 off to switch right 900 to misty 630 off the canon box to 270 on the down rail to switch left 900 to double cork 1080.  This run made Andreas finishing the third time on the podium at this years tour.

The winner of the qualification, namely Sammy Carlson showed up with great performance again. But he could not beat Hatveit and Brown with his run. He did a switch right side 900s to 630 off with a poke on the canon and double 1080 pokes at the last jump

On the fourth place JF Houle took his best Dew Tour result. With his very technical rail-tricks, a switch rightside 720 and a switch leftside 1080 he could convince the judges to give him a better score than Alex Schlopy who landed a massive switch 1440 on the bottom kicker. This was definitely the crowd pleaser on that day which brought him the fifth place.

So the Dew Tour is now over, at least for the slopestyle skiers. Tomorrow there are just the pipe finals left, where we will see Simon Dumont, Jossi Wells and Xavier Bertoni fighting for the Dew Cup. It‘s gonna be another very exciting competition, you should definitely not miss it!
