It‘s done! The Winter Dew Tour 2009/10 is history! Yesterday the most prestigious tour event in the world found an end with the half-pipe finals! The last winner was a more than happy Simon Dumont! He proved, he is still able to win a competition. It was a weight off his mind, that was very obvious to see! But the overall ranking went to no other than the Kiwi Jossi Wells. He showed the most steady performances during this season and is so a worthy winner of the Dew Cup in this discipline! A fifth place at Mt. Snow was enough for him to beat out Dumont by five points!
The pipe in Mt. Snow was not the best we‘ve seen and the riders had some problems with it. That‘s why we also saw any doubles in the prelims. But in the finals this should be changed! With Simon Dumont leading the way he demonstrated, it‘s also possible to do doubles and massive airs in a pipe which is may not the best! His run: 900 to right 900 to double flip to alley oop 720 to switch 720!

Just two and a half points behind Dumont landed Tucker Perkins who was very close to his first victory. He was on top of the leader board for a long time till Dumont next to last stole him the show. But still Perkins can be happy about his result and of course his performance as well. His run consisted of a double flip to right 900 to 900 to alley oop flat 540 to 1080 to switch right 540!
The last spot on the podium went to Justin Dorey. He had a double flip into an alley oop flatspin 360 to switch 720 to right 900 to left 900 in his program. Xavier Bertoni, one of the big favorites preferred to keep his double in the bag and finished 4th, but he still showed a nice run including his signature big rightside and leftside 900s. As already said, the fifth place was safed by Jossi Wells. A 900 to right 900 to 540 to right 720 to a steezy switch 720 shifty to alley oop flatspin 540 was enough this today take the Dew Cup title!
That‘s it for this year! As expected the Winter Dew Tour was a big come together for all pro-riders, and it was a hard fight for the crown. Finally with Andreas Hatveit (slopestyle) and Jossi Wells (pipe) two deserved winners of the overall rankings were found. Of course the Dew Tour will be back next year and will provide us again with big entertainment!
