Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn offers a range of freeriding as one combined package, with extensive freeride routes, a freeride park, self-developed snow information and avalanche warning system, avalanche beacon search fields & checkpoints, camps and top events such as the Freeride Testival. There’s enough here to excite both the elite and those new to the sport.
The flanks of the 2,117m Wildseeloder were already discovered by the up-and-coming freeriding scene years ago. Fieberbrunn has ideal conditions for freeriders: a ski area with wild contours and extensive powder slopes. Also, there are no long walks to access the off-piste terrain; it’s a question of simplicity, “easy up & wild down.” There is a reason why the Freeride World Tour has made Fieberbrunn a regular stop on its annual tour of the best freeride destinations.
Taking the lift or a short hike brings you easily into unsecured, unpatrolled terrain. Despite the vast attraction, it is important that the dangers of this Alpine environment are considered. For this purpose, local ski schools and mountain guides offer various workshops to prepare you for off-piste adventures.
