The young Swiss star has a new ski sponsor.

News from the Skiers & Sponsors department: 19-year-old Swiss X Games star Kai Mahler has been picked up by K2 Skis. Mahler formerly skied for APO.

Kai has already been rocking K2 planks since this summer, and will contribute to K2’s product development, reports European Marketing Coordinator Marian Homburger. “We’re stoked because Kai fits perfectly into the K2 team,” says Homburger.

Mahler hasn’t commented publicly on the sponsor switch yet, but judging on his last edit from the Stubai Prime Park, he looks to be enjoying the new rides thoroughly.
