When hardcore park skiers start booking flights to Japan, you can rest assured that an inevitable process has begun. Soft, fluffy power landings have begun to seem more attractive than ice-hard snowparks; it’s now only a matter of time until former diehard park rats are debating what kind of climbing skin works best, the pros and cons of pin bindings, and generally scroggin’ with the best of them. Such may well be the case with Daniel Hanka, Antti Ollila and Zuzana Stromkova, who ventured to Hokkaido last winter to film the latest installment of the always-entertaining Smelly Socks webisode series.
