High avalanche risk forced a last minute venue change last year but the plan is to unveil the intimidating Cime Caron face to the world. Its steep pitches and techy features offer creative opportunities to challenge the riders. Add in passionate local fans and French riders hungry to impress on home turf, this stop is not one to miss.
Last year’s powdery conditions made for some of the most memorable lines of the tour with Astrid Cheylus winning in front of a home crowd and Switzerland’s Martin Bender tricking his way to the top spot.
