With its 50 degree pitches, blind takeoffs and cliffy chaos, Verbier remains the crown jewel of competitive freeriding. The pressure? Immense. The reward? A shot at FWT glory. As always, the Xtreme closes the season with a bang.
Last season, local Swiss skier Jenna Keller and Canadian WeiTien Ho claimed the contest victories on a venue which only included the lower half of the 3,223m peak while Canadians Justine Dufour-Lapointe and Marcus Goguen secured the coveted title of FWT Champion.
