Arc’teryx Freeride Academy returns to St. Anton

By: Scott Naismith December 20, 2025

The Arc’teryx Freeride Academy is back in St. Anton am Arlberg for its fifth edition, bringing four days of fresh tracks, skill-building clinics, free events and community vibes to one of Europe’s premier freeride destinations. From 5–8 February 2026, skiers and snowboarders can tap into a packed program alongside world-renowned athletes and guides.

What is the Arc’teryx Freeride Academy?

The Freeride Academy is part of the global Arc’teryx Academies event series—immersive gatherings built around mountain sports and education. With events across North America, Europe, China and beyond, the Academies combine hands-on learning with community, covering climbing, backcountry skiing and snowboarding, alpinism, running and more.

In St. Anton, the Freeride Academy focuses on elevating technical skills in real terrain. Participants learn from top athletes and certified guides through clinics in skiing, snowboarding, splitboarding, ski touring, avalanche safety, photography and more. This year’s edition expands to over 500 clinic spots, including more intermediate-level offerings and a stronger women-only clinic program across all disciplines. Expect guest athletes like Elena Hight and Alex Williams leading signature sessions throughout the weekend.

1. Behind each session are world-class mountain guides and professional athletes who blend technical knowledge with real-terrain practice. Matteo Challe
2. Visitors can get complimentary repairs at the ReBIRD Repair & Care Centre, where you can also learn about extending the life of your gear. Matt Georges

Clinics: Level Up Your Skills

The core of the Arc’teryx Freeride Academy remains its clinic program—designed to help skiers and snowboarders progress in a hands-on, guided environment. Behind each session are world-class mountain guides and professional athletes who blend technical knowledge with real-terrain practice.

Whether you’re learning avalanche fundamentals, refining freeride technique, stepping into ski touring or splitboarding, or pushing advanced lines with a pro, there’s a clinic tailored for every level from beginner to expert. Women-only clinics return in expanded form across all disciplines, making progression more accessible than ever.
