Boom Club kicks off the season with the Great British Banquet

September 04, 2026

A little something special for the die-hard British ski scene: The gang of two-planking miscreants known as Boom Club have arranged a four-stop tour across some of His Majesty’s better-known snow dome and dryslope spots.

“The ski season is starting off in Europe surprisingly early this year, and the most bizarre bit about it is, it’s starting in the UK?!?” Boom Club tells us.

“Yeah that’s right: the country with no snow, that always rains and is famous for getting second at large football tournaments. But are we forgetting something? The crew that plays UKG and kicks footballs? Aren’t they British? Boom Club? Oh yeah UKG Mandem.”

We don’t know exactly what all of that means, but we do know that the Great British Banquet is kicking off today in Christchurch at @snowtrax_freestyle, then moving up to @tamwoth_snowdome before finishing at @thesnowcentremcr and @bearsdenfreestyle.

With pro skiers from Europe and the USA flying in to create some hype and have some fun with the often-forgotten UK ski community, this looks like a tour not to be missed if you’re anywhere in the area.

There will be rail jams sponsored by Peak Performance and Ellis Brigham as well as movie premieres, Boom Club merch and of course, lots of vibes. Keep an eye on the @b00mclub Instagram for details on each stop.
