Rock A Rail Tour climaxes in The Hague

By: Scott Naismith December 22, 2025

The Hague once again became the beating heart of European street skiing, hosting the grand finale of the Rock A Rail Ski & Snowboard Tour this weekend. As the fifth and final stop of the tour, The Hague wrapped up a hugely successful third season with three days of top-level freestyle, heavy setups and packed crowds in the center of the city.

Rock A Rail remains in a league of its own when it comes to urban street contests. Every stop pushes riders with creative, technical rail concepts, with The Hague delivering the biggest setup of the entire tour.

In the women’s competition, consistency paid off. Ellen Damsgaard (DEN), already a tour standout with a win in Thun and second place in Riga, landed on the podium once again in third, taking the overall tour title as she did. Hintertux winner Alais Develay (FRA) followed up with a strong second place, but the day ultimately belonged to Hannah Langes (AUT). Clean tricks and inventive use of the course made her stand out from the rest and earned her the win.

The men’s final delivered one of the weekend’s defining moments. Joey van der Meer (NED) rose to the occasion on home soil, throwing down when it mattered most and taking the win in front of a fired-up Dutch crowd. With that victory, he made history as the first Dutch freeskier ever to win a Rock A Rail event. Tyler Nicholls-Stubbington (IRL) continued his remarkably consistent season with second place, his third podium of the tour, which was enough to give him the overall tour win—while Juho Saastamoinen (FIN) rounded out the podium in third.

With five tour stops across autumn 2025, Rock A Rail once again confirmed why it sits at the top of the urban rail contest game. Creative setups, world-class riders and city-center energy with The Hague delivered the perfect season finale.
