How many layers does a Russian street skier need?

6 portraits of modern urban warriors and the gear they need to fight subzero temperatures in the Russian streets.

Last season I had the great idea to go to Russia to shoot urban during the coldest time of the winter. I brought a lot of gear with me, but even with a few different layers on, I still had the feeling that I could never really get warm. Meanwhile, while I was bundled up in a jacket, a couple of the guys I was shooting with were wearing just hoodies or shirts. Did they have superpowers, or just a lot of layers hidden underneath?

I got the idea of taking two pictures of them: one with all their gear next to them, and another picture with all the gear on them. It’s insane how much clothing you can actually fit on a body. Check out the Life Steeze Media crew as you’ve never seen them before.
