Fat Runs in relation to be aware of risky experiences – The Junior Camps are an introduction for Rookies into the world of freeriding. The pro team with Matthias “Hauni” Haunholder, Chris Schnabel and many others cover in two days the foundations for a safe time on the terrain. Essential topics include understanding avalanche reports and the correct handling of the LVS unit and other safety equipment, as well as outlining appropriate behavior in the area. With rider tips included, riding powder slopes, cliffs and natural kickers becomes super fun …. Requirements: 15-18 years old with adequate off-piste riding skills for all snow conditions.

Learn to stay safe in the backcountry at the Rossignol Junior Camps

SCHEDULE

Meetingpoint is on both days at 9 am at the Freeridecamps booth at the bottom of the skiarea. The participants get their rental equipment there, and the coaches will start the day with the group. After the equipment check we will have a look at the avalanche report of the area and we will discuss the actual avalanche situation. Then we are ready for the mountain, we are going to discuss the basic knowledge for a safe day of freeriding, and during the day we will always be shreding on skis or snowboards. At the Juniorcamps we attemped to connect the theoretical issuses with taking hands on. Each coach has a maximum of 8 participants and is therefore able to focus on invidual skills. Around 4 pm we will call it a day and meet up at the bottom station until the next camp day.
