Peak Performance celebrates 40 years with heritage ski capsule

November 02, 2026

Peak Performance is celebrating its 40th anniversary by digging into the archives and giving some of its heritage designs a technical upgrade. The limited-edition capsule brings together reworked classics and modern technical fabrics, retintroducing the 40Y R&D GORE-TEX Jacket and Pants, originally designed in 1993.

The set revisits Peak Performance’s original R&D, which introduced a modular 3-in-1 system at a time when fitted ski clothing was all the rage. The idea remains the same: a shell and insulated liner that can be worn together or separately, adapting to changing conditions and activity levels.

The updated version pairs a custom-developed three-layer GORE-TEX C-KNIT Stretch shell with a removable liner featuring Polartec Alpha active insulation. Other details include articulated construction for improved mobility, ventilation zips, water-resistant YKK AquaGuard zippers and an integrated RECCO reflector. The liner also uses recycled materials, including GRS-certified recycled polyamide.

The anniversary collection goes beyond the R&D set, bringing back a selection of Peak Performance favourites. These include colour-blocked Alpine and Anima/Maroon ski sets, a reversible Frost Jacket, the Helium Down Jacket and a Vertical Ski Backpack, alongside anniversary hoodies, tees and accessories.

Four decades on, Peak Performance is using the capsule to revisit the designs that helped shape its identity, while bringing their construction and materials up to date.
