The 31st edition of the Kaunertal Opening is right around the corner!

One of the Alps’ longest-standing freestyle events, the fall snowpark opening on the Kaunertal Glacier in Austria will kick off its fourth decade of existence October 7-9.

In addition to all the standard Opening events we’ve grown to know and love — pro & am contests, rail jams, equipment demos and nightly musical performances — this year’s KTO will feature a few new highlights. Jibbers can now enjoy a new “800 meter jib line” that’s touted as being the longest and best early-season option in the Alps, as well as a new free shuttle from Landeck all the way to the glacier!
