As one of the first snowparks to kick off the season and as one of the first to hold a photo session with pro riders on a fully-built setup, the Snowpark Kreischberg has already shown that it is definitely on the way to become a big player in the echelon of Europe’s top snowparks.
“Early this season, the mountain railways already supported us with all snow needed for the construction of the snowpark. Therefore, we were able to open up really early, which was a perfect beginning for the first year,” park designer Demis Lotter says. “No matter where, no one here lacks of motivation and profession at Kreischberg. Not least because of the Freestyle Ski World Championships that took place last year, everybody here is focused on setting up an amazing park here. My shape crew is fantastic and the locals are amazing”. Not only freeskiers from the surrounding area have noticed that there is an extraordinary training facility at Kreischberg once again.

Stefan Gratzer, a local from Kobenz, senses incredible potential in Kreischberg. “Every bigger skiing resort has to have a good snowpark these days, otherwise it won’t attract visitors, the young ones between 14 and 20 years old in particular. I hope that, thanks to the new park by QParks, things will be moving in the right direction. You can already notice that riders from the surrounding regions like Wolfsberg and Voitsberg are coming back here again. Obviously, it would be great if the QParks Tour made a stop here, so everyone can see that Kreischberg is home to an amazing snowpark, an excellent place to practice!” What are the freeskier’s wishes for the years to come? “It’d be great if more people came again. About four or five years ago there were 20 to 25 shredders here on weekends. The number has decreased, but thanks to the new snowpark, things will certainly change because the area has potential and it’s just great what you get for your money here.”

Have fun watching the shiny results of this video and photo session at the Snowpark Kreischberg.
