We’ve grown to know and love Nikolai Schirmer for his incredible YouTube storytelling—not to mention his maniacal descents of Norway’s rowdiest couloirs. The Last Whale in Switzerland puts Niko in a different context, as he journeys to the Swiss Alps with sidekick Krister Kopala and new member of the gang, Ebba Forsgren. There, they encounter rocky zones at Andermatt, before being shown to a stunning spine zone by Anttu Oikkonen.

As always with Niko, it’s a good story mixed with balls-to-the-wall skiing; so call me Ishmael because Nikolai might as well be Captain Ahab.
