With the slow approach of fall comes the harvest: slowly but surely, the world’s purveyors of hi-res, hi-def and otherwise hi-level skiing footage are beginning to let samples of their freshest produce trickle out. Here’s a sampling of the goods so far. We'll keep this page updated as new trailers come out, so keep checking back.

Henrik Harlaut - The Regiment

They say: "The Regiment is a two year film project from professional freestyle skier Henrik Harlaut. Today, Henrik is one of the only skiers to compete at the highest level while also filming some of the most influential video parts of the past decade. We see Henrik go from filming urban three hours before a flight to X Games to skiing spines in Alaska and for the first time we get an insight to what makes Henrik tick, as he shares the motivations and inspirations that allow him to be one of the best freeskiers today."

We say: The highly anticipated two-year project from Henrik Harlaut gives us a closer look than ever before at the personal motivations of this modern skiing icon—not to mention two season's worth of banger shots.

Bavarian Dudes - HOAGASCHT

We say: For those unversed in the intricacies of the Bavarian dialect, the Bavarian Dudes say they're back after a two-year break with a new film which'll be out soon, and there's talk about a few premieres too.

Neil Williman - Working Volks Freeride

They say: "Here it is, the trailer for my first ever own project: Working Volks Freeride. I can't tell you how much work went into this one, and how much love I have for the people that made it with me. Huge thanks to Axamer Lizum and Fischer Ski for believing in it, and MIDIAFILM for doing such a slick job of the filming & editing on a tight budget and while creating their own movie Dedication at the same time!"

We say: How does Neil Williman live a double life as an engineer in London and a member of the Innsbruck freeride scene? Find out in Working Volks Freeride.

CoLab Films - The Sky Piercer

They say: "The team hit the road with the objective to climb and ski the East Face of Aoraki Mt Cook. They are being beaten down by the weather with the likelihood of meeting the objective looking less and less within the time allocated for the project. They embrace the Kiwi road trip with the hope of a weather window."

We say: Sam Smoothy and squad attempt one of New Zealand's most challenging alpine conquests. Will they make it, or will the fickle gods of weather beat them down?

Twoot Skis - СРОСТ

They say: "Produced by TWOOWT Fam. Directed by Dmitriy Makrushin and Boris Gaisner. Skiing by Vadim Rudakov, Alexander Penderev and Dmitriy Makrushin."

We say: An unexpected heater from our friends to the East. "Srost" or as Google Translate tells us, "Growth" (please, email us your more accurate translations) combines the forces of Russian start-up ski co. Twoot with some familiar faces from the Life Steeze Media crew.

Jiberish - Banged Up

They say: "Banged Up, an all street ski film featuring Sam Zahner, Calvin Barrett, Mike Cappola, Seamus Flanagan, Scrappy Joe Young, and Pete Koukov, chronicles the ups, downs, and in-betweens of their past season. Filmed, edited and produced by the riders, Banged Up features skiing in Colorado, Minnesota, and Massachusetts."

We say: Apparently the venerable Jiberish Cinema isn't just "still hanging in there" — they're dropping a buck-wild, all-street movie that will have you cringing before you're halfway through the teaser. If these horrific bails and glorious makes don't arouse some kind of raw emotion, there may be something wrong with you.

Strictly Business

They say: "This is what we do. This is who we are. This is no place for fun. This is Strictly Business."

We say: Multiple fire emojis flaming out of this trailer in the backcountry, streets and park, from a young crew stacked with up-and-comers and talent on both sides of the lens. Someone call the doctor, because this looks sick.

M-Line Films: No Man's Land

Website: vimeo.com/ondemand/nomansland/261192086

They say: "Antarctica is the coldest, driest, and windiest continent, and has the highest average elevation of all continents. Usually, only scientists, polar explorers, or mountaineers to climb Mt. Vinson have been travelling to Antarctica. Due to the extreme cold, the glaciat- ed terrain and the desert climate, freeskiing seemed to be impossible. But the two freeskiers and adventurers Matthias „Hauni“ Haunholder and Matthias Mayr don ́t care if regions are meant to be too remote or harsh for skiing. They are getting even more attracted by so-called hard conditions. Together with cinematographer Johannes Aitzetmüller they set over for an unsupported expedition into the mainland of Antarctica to find beautiful mountains for skiing."

We say: Getting up, going to the ski resort, skiing some powder? Sounds waaaaay too easy and chill. Real skiers need to SUFFER for their turns - like hiking for kilometers into the Antarctic no-man's-land to go freeriding. Rumor has it these guys are planning their next ski vacation on the surface of the Moon.

Jeremy Pancras: Would You

They say: "After breaking his back in competition, French freestyle skier Jeremy Pancras has set out to show the world what it means to be a freeskier and follow your passion."

We say: One of our favorite skiers on the planet, PanPan took one of the worst falls ever at last year's Sosh Big Air (read all about it here). Now he's back with an introspective film looking at what skiers sacrifice to life the dream.

Picture Organic/AlmoFilm: Zabardast

Website: picture-organic-clothing.com/en/poster/zabardast/

They say: "The intimate travel diary of an incredible freeride expedition into the heart of the Karakoram range. The search for one of the most beautiful mountains to ski on the planet, standing at 5880m. An adventure so remote, so high, so commited that no mistakes were allowed. During five weeks, the crew got deeper and deeper inside Pakistan, with a 150 km loop in complete autonomy, pulling sleds filled with food, tents and solar panels across gigantic glaciers. As far from home as one can get. A meeting point of Freeriding and Mountaineering. A true adventure."

We say: A ragtag crew of crazy Frenchies plunges deep into the Himalayas in hopes of skiing one of the world's most stunning mountain faces. Do you like your pow turns with frostbitten toes? Then you'll enjoy this one-of-a-kind expedition.

Eva Walkner & Jackie Paaso: Evolution of Dreams

Website: www.evolutionofdreams.net

They say: "Things didn't always come together for two-time Freeride World Tour champion Eva Walkner and Xtreme Verbier champion Jackie Paaso. The road to the top was full of heartache and defeat. So what happens when the passion for your dreams fades? Do you just stop? Or do you search for what’s missing and uncover new dreams and goals? Eva and Jackie’s journeys have taken them from regulated ski courses to big mountain skiing which allowed them more freedom. Throughout that journey, they’ve discovered another aspect of skiing, ski mountaineering. In this new discipline, they have to tackle new challenges and conquer new fears. It’s their evolution of dreams."

We say: Two of freeriding's hardest-shredding females team up for an insightful look at the blood, sweat and tears that these tough women bring to the game. This one is a keeper.

Lena Stoffel: Winterfox

They say: "A short movie with a unique perspective on Hokkaido's snowy living. Produced, filmed and edited by Lena Stoffel, this film will show Lena´s vision of Hokkaido. As she is the main skier of the movie as well, she does it all. This gives 'Winterfox' a very special feel. It's part one of her series 'a journey through winter'.

We say: Pro tip for those who don't know: you can get great deals at Japanese ski resorts if you're "making a movie." Many a would-be Japow shredder has utilized this leverage to good effect.

Midiafilm: Dedication

Website: http://dedication-movie.com/

They say: "Dedication - devotion and commitment, it's a great combination for days on the mountain. We're always making the most of the conditions as they are, but it's even nicer when Mother Nature plays along. Legendary snowfall like the years of old spoiled us in our local spots and there was no lack of motivation- we were treated to riding entire zones that were far from skiable in recent years. This year turned the movie on it's head and the ski-porn of the Alps became the focus of the film, unlike recent years where the MIDIAFILM crew have had to travel far and wide to find the powder."

We say: German/Austrian freeriders shred pow, sail boats, rappel into lines, endure hardships, experience joy. Yep.

Buldozlife: Saturne

They say: "Our goal this season was to really get into filming skiing seriously. We bought a used professional DV camera from the last decade and spent most of our freetime in the mountains or in the streets of our local cities. At the end we learned that making a movie involves a lot of self investment and we still have a lot to learn but slowly and surely we are climbing the steps towards some uncommonly interesting footage. This year was more a test to see if we could produce something worth calling a ski movie, and we have to say it ended up better than we expected."

We say: Lo-fi street and backcountry jibbing from a talented Swiss crew. Please sir, may we have some more?

Teton Gravity Research: Far Out

Tour tickets, dates, and film info: tetongravity.com/farout

They say: "Join the TGR crew on one of its boldest missions ever. The film follows the perspective of an athlete as he embarks on a journey to one of the most remote and unexplored mountain ranges on the planet, the Albanian Alps. While the final destination appears to be the ultimate goal, it is the collective of athletes, experiences, and the array of locations around the world that inevitably drive the season’s adventure."

We say: Ski-film powerhouse TGR is back with another eclectic mix from the front lines of the sport. The Kamchatka trip with Clayton Vila and Cam Riley promises to be an urban-skiing highlight, and we're excited to see what guys like Fabian Lentsch and Sam Smoothy bring to the table. Plus, there's Sean Jordan riding through Crested Butte on a black stallion. Finally, the Albanian Alps? Color us intrigued.

Matchstick Productions: ALL IN

Website: http://www.skimovie.com/

They Say: "Matchstick Productions' 2018 epic ski film delivers a first of its kind experience. This concept is spearheaded by a talented group of hard-charging women who wanted to disrupt the male-dominated ski film formula. Skiing isn’t exclusionary. True fun in the mountains can be shared by everyone. This isn’t your typical “Women can shred too” film, this is a kick-ass ski film that just happens to feature as many women as men."

We Say: Heavy hitters MSP are back with what looks like another banger to follow up on last year's successful romp Drop Everything. We look forward to more of the classic Matchstick blend of goofy, rad and gnarly and strong performances from the film's leading ladies: Angel Collinson, Michelle Parker, Tatum Monod and Elyse Saugstad.

Level 1 Productions: Zig Zag

Website: zigzag.level1.ski

They say: "Following nearly two decades of ski movie pedigree, Level 1 documents a lifestyle of contradiction. Timeless ephemera. Love and money. Natural and synthetic. Powder and slush. Stagnant and innovative. Untracked and well-travelled. Consistent but not predictable. Swerving left, right and diagonal, yet never asleep at the wheel."

We say: Standard-bearers Level 1 are back with a strong cast featuring several European riders like Sämi Ortlieb, Laurent de Martin, Peyben Hägglund, Kim Boberg and Oliver Karlberg in leading roles, as well as the return of Parker White to the  roster. As always, we're excited to see how the Level 1 crew steps the game up again.

Arianna Tricomi/Troublehaus: La Luce Infinita

They say: "Arianna Tricomi went on a journey to the north of Norway. She invited a lot of friends to join her celebrating spring shredding, a world title and the end of a amazing ski season. The action took place in Finnmark’s coast mountains around a beautiful little fisher town called Bergsfjord. Where the daylight is infinite and the ocean is surrounding every peak."

We say: A short, feel-good film project about Arianna & friends' sojourn in the Norwegian fjörds in the spring of 2018. We're stoked to see that when this year's Freeride World Tour champion isn't crushing contests, she's out organizing month-long touring trips and film projects with her crew.

Woop Productions: Sound of Silence

They say: "A young man born severely deaf faced exclusion from society from his early days on. He was bullied by his peers, branded a fool by his teachers, and locked away in a basement at his first job at a bank—but Robin Gillon found his way through, all thanks to skiing."

We say: We already knew that Dutch rider Robin Gillon is a ripping skier—but we didn't know the challenges he's had to overcome as a deaf person. This documentary looks like an intriguing window into Robin's life, and into the life-changing power of skiing.

Matchstick Productions: HOJI - The Movie

They say: "Eric Hjorleifson lets his skiing speak for itself. He doesn’t stand on the bar and shout out his accolades. He skis for brands that give him 100% creative control over the equipment that he designs and uses. He chases storms. He ditches his cell phone for weeks at a time. His exploits are rarely flaunted on social media. In spite of all of this – or maybe because of it – he is a hero to legions of skiers across the globe. This is who Eric is – this is HOJI."

We say: With unparalleled skill and dedication, Hoji has worked and skied his way from a young buck to an undisputed icon—all while keeping an unusually low profile. As both his skiing and his passion for gear-tinkering continue to influence the sport, this feature flick from Matchstick throws the spotlight on this often understated ski hero from Alberta.

tanner hall: here after

They say: "Coming October 2018, Tanner's latest film "Here After" filmed in Montana, Alaska, California, and Sweden."

We say: Will the Ski Boss ever stop? About 10 years after most normal humans would have peaked, Tanner Hall is still pushing himself to new heights each season. And whatever it is he's doing, it's always worth watching.

Followfellas: Somewhere

They say: If you want God to laugh at you, make a plan!
"I don't know where I'm gonna end today" - The real vanlife

We say: Looks like somebody's got a drone sponsor!

Blank. Collective: Before Blank

They say: The blank crew takes a light-hearted and retrospective look into the similarities and differences that drove each member down their own path. But like someone once said, who resembles, assembles. Their deep passion for skiing began at a young age, and that link continues to shape their lives today.

We say: The latest goods from an athlete-focused, heavy-shredding, fun-loving film collective that's been bringing fresh energy to the ski-film genre. Always a pleasure.

Blazar OJ 1983 - Julien Lange

They say: Official Trailer. Supported by O'Neill. Filmed by Jeremy Feburier & Yann Barthelemy.

We say: Looks like French ripper Julien Lange is ready to blast us off back to the '80s with his new offering. Strap in tight and keep an eye out for TIE fighters.

WeareFSC: Journey

They say: "We have spent a lot of time and kilometers in our projects for years - but this time we are embarking on a journey that brings new experiences for us. The "Journey" is not only intended to reflect our path in distance, but also to show our mental path and how we reach our limits and exceed them. The journey takes us across the snow covered powder slopes of Central Europe and Japan via the top parks to the urban areas of the Alps."

We say: Hungry young Austrian crew shreds Japow, jibs rails, chucks doubles. Good to see squads like this on the come-up.

Back2bACKTRIPLE: THE FORRE MOVIE

They say: Back2backtriple presents The Forre Movie. Dropping in November.

We say: What ever happened to the street crews? The Forre Movie from Back2BackTriple proves that, in Finland at least, they're still alive and well.

Christoph Schöfegger: Field of the Blackbirds

They say: Field of the Blackbirds isn't your average ski film. Rather, it shows that life is about more than sick powder lines, and that you shouldn't believe everything until you see it.

We say: Kitesurfing and skiing in one outdoor adventure? Why not? There's some serious #squadgoals going on in this group of friends' adventure road trip to Kosovo.

Warren Miller Entertainment: Face of Winter

They say: "Loving the pure joys of winter is something we have in common with the late, great Warren Miller—who helped create and capture the magic of skiing. This fall, Face of Winter, the 69th installment from Warren Miller Entertainment presented by Volkswagen, will bring new and veteran athletes together to pay tribute to the man who started it all. Follow along and celebrate a life lived in high places at warrenmiller.com."

We say: How could we have a ski movie trailer round-up, and not include Warren Miller? True, the company that now carries his name bears shows little resemblance to the iconic cinema that made Warren Miller the modern titan of ski filmmaking. With Warren's passing earlier this year, we hope WME will be serving up a film that offers a fitting tribute to a great man.
