The Natural Selection Tour is expanding with a brand-new qualifying stage: the Natural Selection Ski Super Session. Debuting this winter, the Super Session acts as an additional preliminary round, giving riders a new path into the Tour finals while showcasing progression, creativity and freestyle expression on natural terrain.

Eight invited athletes—four men and four women—selected by the Natural Selection Ski committee will meet at Palisades Tahoe for this high-energy, session-style event. Riding the resort’s steep and feature-rich terrain, skiers will have the freedom to lap the face in a collaborative format designed to bring out style and innovation. At the end of the session, one man and one woman will earn a coveted spot in the Natural Selection Ski finals in Alaska, where the 2026 champions will be crowned. The Super Session itself will also stream exclusively on Red Bull TV.
“The launch of Natural Selection Ski Super Sessions allows the Tour to open a wider funnel of opportunities to riders on the front lines of freeskiing progression,” says Mike Douglas, head of Natural Selection Ski. “I’m stoked to see what these skiers can do as they feed off each other’s energy at one of the most hallowed grounds for our sport. Palisades Tahoe was made for an event like this.”
