Les Arcs Freeski Academy joins forces with outerwear brand Orage

By: Scott Naismith March 15, 2026

The Les Arcs Freeski Academy was established in 2015 by Xavier Troubat specializing in freestyle and freeride training for the young skiers of the Tarentaise Valley in the French Alps. As of Winter 2026, the Freeski Academy is partnered with outerwear brand Orage.

Founded in 1989, Orage grew from selling gear out of a car trunk at local Quebec resorts into one of freeskiing’s most authentic outerwear brands. Born alongside the rise of Quebec’s rule-breaking freeski scene, Orage evolved with the culture, blending technical innovation with fashion-forward design. Decades later, still led by its original founder and driven by skiers and creatives, Orage remains rooted in self-expression, smooth style, and progression, carrying forward the energy of those early days in every product.

The Freeski Academy provides seasonal and year-round training for ambitious young riders and boasts alumni such as Max Palm and Ugo Troubat, who have been taking the freeride world by storm, not only in terms of performance, but also in style and creativity. Orage share these traits, creating equipment designed to withstand the young riders’ progression, their creativity, and their relentless pursuit of the top, making the partnership a perfect match.

As the official outerwear and technical apparel provider for Freeski Academy athletes and coaches, Orage brings cutting-edge gear built for performance, progression, and pure mountain style. This collaboration celebrates what drives both parties; innovation, community, and the creative spirit of freeride culture.
