Armada team rider Lukas Schäfer is one of our favorite people to watch ski. He’s got easy, flawless talent that drips with style. For the past several years, Luki has been busier shooting wildlife and nature photography (check out his beautiful photo gallery in our book, Ski Stories 2020) than serving up freeski edits. Today’s a special day, however, as Luki drops this artful recap from last fall at the Prinoth X Camp on the Passo dello Stelvio, aka Stelvio Pass. It just goes to show: Style never dies, especially when you’ve got it like Luki does.

South Tyrolean skier and nature photographer Lukas Schäfer spends most of his time in the backcountry, capturing the beautiful natural scenery of his mountainous homeland. Last fall, however, he jumped at the chance to dust off his park game at the Prinoth X Camp on the Stelvio Pass—one of Europe’s up-and-coming snowpark training grounds.

“When I take off I want to hold my skis like the birds their wings, and watch the world turn slowly,” says Luki. “It’s a feeling of deep satisfaction.“
