Was this necessary?

Mac Forehand grinds a rail upside down

By: Ethan Stone November 18, 2023

In this week’s edition of “I’m not sure if this was really necessary, but it’s kind of cool anyway,” Mac Forehand grinds a rail… upside down.

This project was executed in secrecy last spring at Sunday River, Maine. That’s right, the same place where Simon Dumont set the quarterpipe world record.

While a part of me wants to dismiss this as an unnecessary accomplishment achieved at unnecessary expense, I’m reminded that this description can easily apply to just about everything else in the world of skiing.

So bravo Mac on an impressive achievement! I’m sure you’ve given Jesper Tjäder ideas for the next installment of Unrailistic.
