The Freeride World Tour organization just confirmed that the final event of the 2026 FWT, the legendary Xtreme Verbier, will take place this coming Saturday. The event village will open on Friday noon and will stay open until Sunday. Following the current snowfall, the Bec des Rosses should offer great conditions and we can expect another extraordinary show by the world’s best freeriders. There might also be a pow turn or two to be enjoyed if you head to Verbier as a spectator. If you do so, be aware of a special offer by the FWT that gives you a 40% discount on ski tickets if you travel to Verbier by train.

The Grand FWT Final: Xtreme Verbier is confirmed for Saturday, March 28
The Xtreme Verbier doesn’t need much introduction. It has continued to impress and fascinate freeride fans since 1996. In 2026, the event is the second final and last stop of the 2026 Freeride World Tour, where overall champions will be decided in all four categories. In the Ski Women’s category, the contest for the highest crown of Big Mountain Freeriding is still wide open, while in Ski Men’s there are only three contenders left for the 2026 overall title: Toby Rafford, Ben Richards and Ross Tester. As always, you can watch the action live on the official FWT website. In case you’re based not too far away from Verbier, you’re much advised to see the action at the Bec des Rosses live from the great balcony of the Col des Gentianes, where a big crowd will be cheering for the athletes and celebrate the sport as much as themselves. If you go to Verbier, do so by train to Le Chable and take the cable car up. You’ll do good to the environment and to your purse, as the FWT offers a special discount to everybody traveling to Verbier by train on both Saturday and Sunday: 40% off on your Verbier 4 Vallées lift ticket.
