Downdays Experience Hub

Join the trip of a lifetime!

By: Klaus Polzer January 12, 2026

Downdays launches the Experience Hub: a curated adventure travel platform built for skiers who want access to experiences beyond the realm of regular ski trips—even the most exclusive ones.

The Experience Hub brings you closer to the world of professional athletes. The first journey will take you to the Great Caucasus mountains during the event window of the Freeride World Tour stop in Georgia at the end of February 2026. This is a joint effort of Downdays and travel agency high life alpinschule in collaboration with Georgia Travel, Peak Performance, Mammut and the Freeride World Tour.

Going on a ski trip is always great. But it’s even better when you have the chance to experience something entirely new. If you have been to all the famous hotspots, maybe even have been heli or cat skiing, then the Downdays Experience Hub is here to take you a step further.

At Downdays, we regularly report from the Freeride World Tour or a shoot involving your favorite skiers, and often we’re onsite experiencing everything firsthand. On these occasions, we often meet the same people who work behind the scenes: filmers, mountain guides, producers, tour operators. One evening over a beer, we discussed with the guys from high life alpinschule, an Austrian mountain school and travel agency with great experience in these fields, how we could offer the same kind of experience to dedicated skiers who would probably love to have that same chance, but never get it.

Many efforts later, we finally introduce the Downdays Experience Hub, a cooperation between Downdays and high life. For its first outing, the Experience Hub partners with Georgia Travel, Peak Performance, Mammut and the Freeride World Tour to offer a unique trip to the High Caucasus mountains around the town of Mestia during the event window of the Freeride World Tour stop of Georgia: February 19-28, 2026.

The backbone of this trip is all about skiing Georgia’s legendary powder in the great terrain at hand around Mestia, be it in the ski area of Tetnuldi (where the FWT competition is usually hosted), at Mestia’s home mountain right above town or at one of the many touring spots. Ten guests will be accompanied by the best local mountain guides from Georgia (UIAGM certified) to ensure both optimal safety and knowledge about the best spots and conditions.

Of course, the special sauce of the trip will be an exclusive insight into the Freeride World Tour and what it means for the FWT athletes. One important aspect that you will experience on this trip is not having a fixed schedule. Whether you are at a freeride competition or a film shoot, everything is dictated by the conditions, and those may change quickly. For example, the date of the competition often isn’t set until the day before, and the venue might change to a different mountain. Mirroring this approach, the Experience Hub trip also has no set schedule besides arrival and departure dates, allowing the team onsite to coordinate with FWT staff and riders as they do their best to max out your experience in cooperation with partners Peak Performance and Mammut.

To top off this unique offer, every participant will get a full outerwear setup (jacket and pants) by Peak Performance and avalanche kit (backpack, beacon, shovel and probe) by Mammut—all of which can be kept after the journey. The trip is strictly limited to ten participants, and all interested skiers need to apply in order to guarantee a strong and compatible riding level among the group. The travel itself is fully operated by high life in cooperation with Georgia Travel, while Downdays provides communication with the Freeride World Tour, athletes and trip partners as well as presentation to the public. So if you apply, be prepared to show up on Downdays website articles and social media.

Every participant receives a full outwear setup and avalanche kit courtesy of Peak Performance and Mammut—a package valued at over €2000.

1. Mammut Tour 30 Removable Airbag 3.0
2. Barryvox S2 with Alugator Pro Light shovel and 280 speed lock probe
1. Peak Performance Vertical Women’s outfit
2. Peak Performance Vertical Men’s outfit

The Experience Hub package includes all transportation, accommodation, food, lift tickets and guiding in Georgia; travel to and from Georgia is not included. A one-person package costs €2290. In order to apply, send a mail to info@downdays.eu with a short, accurate description of yourself as a skier—ideally including a link to a video showing yourself ski, as well as any certificates (e.g. as ski instructor) or contest results—and why you would like to join this Experience Hub trip.
