While most of us can’t wait to get our skis out of the basement, the crew at Superpark Planai is already putting all their efforts into the final preparations for the start of the season 2016/17. The setup is of the finest quality and various scene related events such as Blue Tomato Plan P and the Girls Shred Session are taking place at the Superpark again this season. On top of all that we welcome Oakley as a strong new partner. One thing’s for sure: tons of excitement are waiting for all of us this winter!

Much to the delight of its loyal fan base, the Superpark Planai will not just meet, but even exceed expectations. Soon it will open its doors with a whopping total of 47 features stomped into the snow of Schladming. What’s more, in the season 2016/17 we’re proud to announce Oakley as one of the sponsors of the Superpark Planai – we’re looking forward to plenty of cool sessions together!

A brand-new Down/Flat/Down Industry Box guarantees a fresh breeze at the park and won’t just be the perfect element for countless slide sessions; it also serves as an extension of the setup, which is topnotch anyway. Generally, here at Superpark Planai we put the main focus on creative obstacles – this winter the Jersey Barrier, a kind of a jib-able road block, and the highly popular Stairset/Down Rail Combo are waiting for your coolest slides. If you’re looking for some quality airtime, you’ll certainly get your money’s worth on the Wallride Bank and, of course, there’ll be a wide range of well-placed kickers, tubes and rails as well. Also, don’t forget to check out the Medium and the Beginner Area – with a total of 10 smoothly shaped kickers, boxes and jibs, both areas are more than ready for countless amazing sessions. Feel the need to relax and take a break for a while? Then the Chill Area’s your best bet, because the Weitmoos park lift ensures only minimum waiting times between the runs. Besides, we’d highly recommend downloading our App for Android smartphones and iPhones – that way you’re definitely not going to miss a single update from the Superpark Planai!

Just like the setup, the event calendar of the season 2016/17 has plenty of highlights to offer. On January 28, 2017 the QParks Tour will make a stop at the Superpark in the form of the Blue Tomato Plan P, a guarantee for proper shred action while at the same time being totally uncomplicated; there’s no starting fees and all freeskiers, who are aspiring to become pros one day, are invited to take part, since the contest serves as a decent starting point for a freestyle career. For the young guns, there’s also the Blue Tomato Kids Day, which will take place on January 14 – the ideal occasion for the younger ones to take their first runs through the park and practice the right techniques right from the beginning.

All the shred sistas should already mark February 11 in their calendars, because then it’s time for the Girls Shred Session at Superpark Planai. This session offers the perfect outline for an action-packed day in the mountains. Several pro coaches will be present to offer helpful advice and moral support, not to mention the tasty snacks and the relaxed atmosphere.

The recently introduced “SpotOn Video-App“, which you can use to transfer HD videos of your runs at the Superpark Planai directly onto your smartphone, makes it very clear that the term “Innovation” is written with a capital “I” at the Superpark Planai. After downloading the “SpotOn Video Tracker” the clips will be automatically transferred to the respective mobile device and can immediately be shared on various social media channels. Just activate GPS, switch the SpotOn Video Tracker app on and you’re set and ready. 12 cameras automatically capture each run through the Superpark Planai. The videos will be transferred to your smartphone as a free thumbnail and, if you wish, you can also download them in full HD quality. What’s more, you can also get information on maximum speed, average speed and the recording time. The SpotOn Video Tracker app is available for iPhone and for Android. You will find further information on www.so-vid.com.
