The Blue Tomato Kings Park at Hochkönig established itself as hotspot for all park riders in the Pongau region. On a length of 1.7 kilometers, numerous jib options and 13 kickers attract freeskiers from near and far. Just like on the day of the first photo session of this season in Mühlbach.

A sophisticated mid-season setup
Once seated inside the Kings Cab gondola, you won’t miss the orange obstacles below. Already from there it’s evident that the Blue Tomato Kings Park is one of the longest snowparks in Austria or even the Alps. An overall of 41(!!!) features make each run distinct. Reason enough for the QParks Media-crew to grab some riders and visit park designer Karl Sanderson and his shape crew at their outdoor office and further ban the scenery on cam.

Skatepark meets snowpark
The shots and videos speak for themselves; the host of riders literally tore down Hochkönig’s „place to shred“. „The park’s length and the excellent connection with the Kings Cab are a definite plus. I like the skatepark-style. You can get creative on the numerous multijibs and obstacles“, freeskier Till Ewers reports his impressions.

Videographer Mitja Legat was truly impressed by the session: „By the time we arrived, the whole park was perfectly shaped and we could not have asked for better weather conditions. We started with the session straightaway to get some cool shots. The ultimate highlight was definitely the sunset jib and hike session in the upper part of the park. The riders really pushed their skills.“ Both camera men and the riders were totally satisfied with their day in one of the longest snowparks.
