This week marked the 10th anniversary of Shane McConkey’s passing. In honor of one of the greatest skiers the world has ever seen, Matchstick Productions has put together this tribute video to remind us that the legacy of McConkey is alive and well today, a decade later.

Ten years is a long time, and it’s conceivable that some of the kids shredding around today don’t even know who McConkey is. If you’re one of these people, then you need to follow up this video with this, this and this to get yourself learned, pronto. But for those of us who were around to experience the Golden Age of McConkey, his memory still burns as strong today as a decade ago, as an iconoclastic purveyor of stoke and radness the likes of which we may never see again.
