Kiwi star with a bright future

Ben Barclay joins The North Face

By: Adam Herman February 15, 2024

Chances are you’ve been hearing about Ben Barclay lately, and that’s not stopping anytime soon. The 22-year-old talent from New Zealand is joining The North Face and that means big things are coming.

Ben’s been competing in the World Cup Slopestyle since 2016, with a second place from Font Romeu in 2022. He’s placed 6th at Mammoth just two weeks ago. But his skiing really comes to life outside of competition. Be it his stylish park laps in this Atomic team edit from Mammoth or murdering California’s slushy backcountry in the gem of a project Never Seen a Bear by Gavin Rudy. He also routinely appears in some of our favorite ski edits by the Boom Club.

Rumours are he’s now working on his first proper film project for the North Face with his new teammate and a fellow Kiwi Ben Richards. And we can’t wait how that turns out. In the mean time check out his Welcome to the team cut and stay tuned!

It’s an honour to join the TNF athlete team, alongside some friends and many sources of inspiration. I’m looking forward to working with The North Face and seeing where it takes us.
