A story about three young skiers who move to Park City to follow their dreams.

How many young skiers have wanted to get up, get out of town, move to ski country and chase the dream of being a professional skier? “Rootless: East to West” is a short film that tracks three young slopestyle hopefuls from the U.S. East Coast as they do just that. Along the way, they discover that the road is rougher than it seems — including the loss of a good friend, Sam Jackenthal, who passed away after an accident in Australia last year. “Rootless: East To West” shows that the path to skiing greatness isn’t always an easy one, while providing a moving tribute to a fallen friend.
