In Winter 2022, Sam Kuch joined his younger brother Adam and the rest of the Whitewater Freeride Team on their trip to Kappl, Austria for the Freeride Junior World Championships after team coach Dano Slater was diagnosed with cancer. Slater died in July 2022; RIP to a freeride legend.
