Onto the mountain tops and into the deep snow – whoever hasn’t tasted enough mouthfuls of powder yet, shouldn’t miss out on Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis!

10 designated freeride tracks lead you through the incredibly vast backcountry to experience the breathtaking scenery of Tyrol’s mountain landscape. Only recently, a delegation of freeriders joined up with a well-equipped media crew in their ambitious mission to collect stunning pictures from exactly there.

Here’s what the group had to say after their adventure, accompanied by dazzling galleries and relentlessly mouthwatering video clips.
If you are longing for a unique off-piste experience, you should definitely pay a visit to Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis, the right place to celebrate winter and plow through fresh powder. Just a few days ago, the local Simon Purtscher went out into the backcountry with a couple of fellow freeriders. They clearly demonstrated how to leave powderlicious marks on the manifold mountain faces in front of the cameras of video- and photographers.

Having grown up in Serfaus, Simon knows the surroundings off pat, but you don’t necessarily have to be a local to find the right powder spot here, as the skier states: “The freeride tracks here are a great and special facility. With moderate effort, you’ll have lots of powder runs in one day, because all tracks are easily accessible from the many lift exits. You find detailed descriptions of the tracks on the info panels and throughout the resort, there are guideposts for better orientation.” After her first trip to Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis, Conny Bernert was amazed by the backcountry: “This resort is simply sensational – at first sight you wouldn’t believe what is hiding behind the mountains, but after spending a few minutes on the first ski lift you get a glimpse of the sweeping range of the backcountry and it only gets better from there. During the shoot, we took a break and hiked up to the mountain top next to us just to enjoy the amazing view for a while!”

One who tenaciously followed Simon and Conny on their way through the powder fields was photographer Felix Pirker with his camera. After the photo shoot, he seemed as convinced by the freeride possibilities as the riders: “The skiing area is huge and the panoramic view at the Masnerkopf just enormous! We spent quite some time there during the shoot and captured great shots.” Get your first impression of the ten freeride tracks here on this website and already choose your favourite one for your next trip before heading to the backcountry.
