“Between” is the third full-length film in Austrian producer and freerider Sandra Lahnsteiner’s effort to document women in skiing and action sports. After 2013’s “Shades of Winter” and 2014’s “Pure,” “Between” is Lahnsteiner’s most broad take yet on her subject, adding women like alpine racing star Julia Mancuso and World Surf League champion Carissa Moore to a lineup of freestyle and freeride ski athletes including Janina Kuzma, Nadine Wallner, Evelina Wallner, Mathilda Rapaport and Lahnsteiner herself.
