The story of WeiTien Ho’s winter is told poetically through the voice of his grandmother. Striking cinematography and unusual storytelling combine to create a visual exploration of perseverance, intuition and the voices that guide us.
“The title means ‘at this moment,’ but it’s a Chinese expression that can’t be easily translated, hence the Chinese characters in the title. Its story arc is basically the story of my season,” the Peak Performance rider tells us in an interview for Ski Stories Vol 6. “Our main goal was to show the moments of my season, rather than explain it. Pulling away from a more documentary series approach and focusing on intentional shots and unique cinematography. It’s guided by the voice of my grandmother in Mandarin, who narrates this piece with a more broad outlook on my pursuit of my passions and goals.”
