Teaser – Freeride World Tour 2018

Steep powder slopes, spectacular off-piste runs, and awe-inspiring drops from huge cliffs: since 2008, the world’s leading freeride skiers and snowboarders have fought for the World Championship titles of the Freeride World Tour (FWT) every year. Delivering unforgettable images and top-notch athletic performances, the tour has become a key part of the international winter sports calendar. In 2018, the FWT guests at chosen European, US and Asia ski resorts with first-class freeride terrain. The Freeride World Tour 2018 will kick off this weekend with the event in Hakuba (JPN). The weather window of this contest is from 20. – 27.1.2018.

Freeride World Tour 2018 kicks off – LEGENDS IN JAPAN!

Three absolute snowboard legends will receive wildcards for the first stop of the Freeride World Tour 2018 (FWT): Terje Haakonsen (NOR), Gigi Rüf (AUT) and Tadashi Fuse (JPN) will compete in the tour in Japan’s Hakuba from the 20th to the 27th of January 2017 Starting field of qualified freeride pros.

Last season’s reigning champions Leo Slemet, Lorraine Huber, Sammy Luebke and Marion Haerty will, of course, fight for the first points of the 2018 FWT.
