Floating Gently – Skiing Short by Josh Absenger

By: Roy Kittler November 27, 2022

Floating Gently, a short film that shows the beauty and the simplicity of skiing.
Skiing itself has so many different aspects to offer. There is a wide spectrum, and that fascinates me the most.
Nature and the outdoors were something totally normal to our parents. They showed us everything since we were little kids. I am very thankful for that.
Skiing will play a big part forever in my life.
I like touring, riding powder, and having a few jumps in the park.
I simply love skiing.

This season I teamed up with Jakob Wallner and Maxi Preissinger. First of all, he’s a super friendly guy out of Innsbruck and in addition to that a great filmer, very passionate for details and surroundings. Hopefully, we can work on more projects in the future. Thanks for the opportunity.

We actually had some really good days in January in the Salzburg Region. The central part of Austria received the most snow last season, and in January we had a decent base.
I think we had 3-4 good days where the weather was mostly cold, cloudy windy, these conditions I really like. Between the trees we were protected from all that, that was fun.

In the spring we teamed up again at Absolut Park, my all-time favorite park. It’s always sunny there:)
The weather was great, the sun was out and the jumps were top. – Josh Absenger
