If you’ve seen basically anything that he’s ever done, you will know that Atomic Skis rider Craig Murray likes to push the limits. That’s definitely the case in Terra Incognita, his new film with NZ auteur Finlay Woods. In Craig’s own words:

“The constant pursuit of how far I can go is ultimately what drives my day-to-day life.”

This project has a clear mission: opening up new freeride lines in New Zealand’s Southern Alps. However, as Craig and his crew soon discover, that’s easier said than done. From a hilariously unexpected consequence of using pack horses to helicopter camping and booters, this project has some high-flying objectives but a down-to-earth vibe.

Terra Incognita (terrain unkown) is a new film by Finlay Woods and Craig Murray.

The film follows a tight New Zealand crew as we attempt to ski new lines in the Southern Alps. Terra Incognita shows the process and realities of pushing into some of the most remote places in Aotearoa. We’re excited to show you the journey, triumphs and tribulations of our endeavours.

We recognise the carbon footprint of the production of this film as 3705.7 kg of CO2-eq. We have donated $2000 to Te Kakano Aotearoa trust and Te Manahuna Aoraki Project for their native restoration efforts.
